Getting the best gear to use when you decide to join your first triathlon race is one of the most important things to consider when you are a beginner. The right equipment and gear could help you through the race with ease and comfort. There are different things you would need such as a bike, wet suit, shorts, shirt, shoes, and goggles. You would also need some protective gear like a helmet, sunglasses, and hat. Other things like a water bottle, towel, tri bag, kit and more are also important to have during the race. One of the most important yet often ignored though is the watch. A triathlon watch is used to track your metrics regarding swimming, running and biking. It can also be used to monitor your progress during your training and workout sessions. If you are out there to purchase a triathlon watch for your very first race, consider the following.

  1. It can be used for any sport

There are many sport watches these days that can be used for specific sports. Make sure that your watch includes swimming features to measure your swimming distance, the length of your stokes and also your swimming efficiency.

  1. It should be comfortable and easy to operate

Some watches might take some time to figure out on how to activate some features. Make sure to choose one that is user-friendly and easy to navigate.
